No, I think it's meant to be cute, and providing 52 reasons for just about anything would be a bit of a thankless task.

Back during the weekly run of 52, Newsarama hosted a weekly chat with Didio called the "5.2 Questions about DC's 52" or . . . something like that. Anyway, they asked Didio 5 questions and he'd end with a teaser about next week's issue (the ".2")
