This is just weird.

Lobdell on Teen Titans #0: "Teen Titans #0 is almost exclusively about Tim Drake. We keep most of the origin intact," he says, though stating that as far as he can tell Tim Drake went straight to being Red Robin and had no official time as Robin, "in that he was one of the few people to get really close to tracking down who Bruce is. It'll feel like The New 52. It'll be a new, updated version of the origin. I'm really excited about it. No less a person than Scott Snyder said it was awesome."
So no TIM was never Robin, but for some reason went straight to Red Robin? Which means that there have been only THREE Robins, Dick, Jason and Damian.
And on the history of the Teen Titans
If Red Robin just started the Teen Titans, how is the flashback with Nightwing explained? "It doesn't show the Teen Titans, it shows people who used to be on Teen Titans hanging out together. There was no reference to Teen Titans. My feeling is that in the DC New 52, yes, these characters have crossed paths before, but there was no previous version of the Teen Titans. That group you saw in flashback was there, but they were not 'Teen Titans.'" Lobdell says that originally there was going to be more history with the Teen Titans, but plans changed along the way, and might change again.
Well, that at least has been the fan theory so it's not to surprising, I think it stinks, personally, but what are ya gonna do?
Fan: "Doesn't Red Robin say 'this will be the shortest-lived incarnation of Teen Titans ever?'" Lobdell: "Yes, he did say that. That was written at a time when there was going to be [other] versions of the Teen Titans in the Teen Titans history. As it is now, in this continuity what he was referring to was this comic book he read as a kid called 'Teen Titans'... give the man a prize, will you?"
Glad to hear that editorial had the Titans history THAT sorted out, that the guy writing them didn't know whether this was a first team or not.
This also means that, as suspected, that the Perez Wolfman New Teen Titans never existed or if it did was in the form of some sort of loose affiliation, which sort of defeats the point of the Teen Titans in the first place.
Le sigh....
