Black and Blue (beetles)

Why no, I have no obsessions whatsoever.
First, the Black Beetle. I've read the Blue Beetle: Black and Blue trade paperback and I've been reading several wikipedia entries and I am still confused. Is it really Hector? I understand he's angry and wants Nadia back (I wanted Nadia back too ;_; ), but weren't there better ways to time travel and save her than evil, complicated plans? Or has he just lost it? Or is he really some guy who took Hector down and decided to use those negative emotions for his own benefit? (Or whatever). Or did he pull an Obi-Wan and by ''I met Hector, he was about to forgive you, and then I killed him'' he actually meant ''I was about to forgive you, but then I became evil instead, which kinda means the old Hectoryou knew is dead''? It confuses me because I do not find him logical. I've read that Booster Gold trade ''Blue and Gold'' and Black Beetle was called Joshua (not Hector?) and mentionned ''Jaime took her from me'' (or something. ...So that someone Nadia?). And why are some people speculating the awesome evil-Barry-White-droid voice is Black Beetle instead of some Reach soldier or even another infiltrator? (And then there are Darkseid speculations, but that's another topic.) I don't see his story, whatever his story is, fit into the YJverse.

Second, the Blue Beetle. Well, Ted Kord. I've read ''I Can't Believe it's not the Justice League'' and ''Formerly Known as the Justice League'' trades. They were funny... but are there other trades with Ted Kord out there I can read and enjoy? Or can I only find his adventures (or adventures with him in them) as individual issues? I also want to know where he gets shot by Max Lord, because I'm actively trying to avoid that issue, whatever it was.
