Forgiveness.

[Hello, fellow Vatheonites. Jacob hasn't spoken to you in a while. He gazes at the camera with pensive eyes, pausing before continuing to speak.]

Forgiveness is a rather complicated subject. Everyone knows what forgiveness is, but when it comes to actually thinking about how to use it in a situation, there are no clear rules about it.

Unfortunately, forgiveness isn't something I can extend to those who've hurt my friends. [He knows this subject far too well, has seen too much since he left home. Shaking his head, he continues.] I'd rather forgive, but it's impossible for me to do so when those who harmed others I know are trying to destroy everything.

[A nod.] It is hard to forgive when the damage is still being done, I agree. And forgiving the people who have hurt the ones you love is quite hard.

To forgive those who have hurt you in that way? It depends. It does after a while, but you must be willing to put it behind you, and that may the hardest thing to do.

[Sadly, it's more difficult for him to do just that.] ...Even harder when they're a part of you.

As in another person who can hold control over you?

...That is very difficult to deal with, indeed.

Yeah. [Pausing for a brief moment, considering a few things.] What brought this on, anyway?

I was just thinking of the subject recently and wished to bring it up to see other people thought about it.

Hm. Well, it is a rather debatable one among others...

If it wasn't debatable, then I wouldn't be talking about it. Honestly, I appreciate hearing other people's opinions on certain things.
