Guys! Guys, these are the things that are happening!
1) Have legal troubles. Passport is expired. October 24th may mark the end of Nos' Fabulous Adventure in America(tm). But perhaps not! Only time will tell. It all comes down to Canada Post, a lawyer I found through Yelp reviews, and the beneficence of the State Court of Georgia.
Yep, I am dooooomed!
2) I signed up for ballroom dancing lessons. Or, daaaaaaancing, as saleri once put it. I even have a guy-shaped person to go with me! Soon I shall be doing the whiskey foxtrot tango!
3) My living room is once again fully furnished. It was touch-and-go for a while there, because I had done the unthinkable and bought a cream colored couch. And just to review: I have two dogs. And a cream colored couch. The inevitable was inevitable, and the couch had to go. But it took a while before I found a nice/affordable new couch (this time a sensible sage, stain-protected). In the meantime I was reduced to eating, reading, computing AND sleeping on the mattress on the floor of my bedroom. This was an unacceptable state of affairs. But now I have the couch again, and when I eat I'm at least two feet off the floor. Human again! \o/
4) America is a crazy place. It seems crazier every day. I feel like I stepped through a mirror: everything is reversed, and slightly off, but I can't quite put my finger on why. Until I run into myself...wearing a goatee! Duh duh duh.
5) I need a beta! Desperately, please. I haven't posted new fic for many, many moons and I am askeered that I'm a bad writer who should feel bad. Comfort me, please? *Puppy eyes*
The story is (get this) set after the end of the most recent Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. There is, uh, het sex between Batman and Catwoman? Angsting? You know the drill. I do not know how and why I returned to my het fandom of 2004, but there it is. So, who is feeling exceptionally brave and wants to read a 1,700wrd story about movie!verse Batman? You really don't need to know much about the characters besides the stuff everybody knows. Having seen the movie/trilogy helps, too.
Any takers? You will secure my eternal love and devotion! Also: pie.
