due South and Politics: Who Do the Boys Vote For?

Mar 18, 2009 17:56

Hey look! I'm home before 7pm for the first time in 12 days! You know how I can tell? Because I'm not still in my office at the college doing endless amounts of graaaaaading. I finished a big stack of stuff today, and then decided to give myself the evening off. Because a fangirl cannot subsist on dull RL work alone ( Read more... )

Re: Kowalski

Where's Frontier Law & Order on that list? RayK would vote for Wyatt Earp. ;)

From Strange Bedfellows:

RayK: First guy tries any free speech gets their head kicked in. You got that? Any takers? Now beat it! Let's go, move on...

Fraser: That was very effective, Ray, although I'm not sure your method is really in keeping with the spirit of the Constitution.

RayK: The Constitution is a piece of paper. A kick in the head is a jolt.

P.S. Fraser--as Green and weird as possible.

Hee.

Plus, Ray didn't read that piece of paper, because his eyes aren't so good, as he told Momma Lolla. :)

He's got some scary ideas, I'm sure, but he mostly keeps them to himself, and deep down he's a good and fair person, so...I think maybe best not to inquire too deeply. Fraser probably has learned to steer clear, to some extent. ;)

Heh, I suspect the "kick to the head" line was his colourful way of dispersing a crowd...

Maybe he's an anarchist, deep down?

Yeah, maybe! Except for the law & order stuff, which is why I say Wyatt Earp would have been a favorite. :)

But my bigger point is, he won't sound like a university kind of guy. He'd be like, keep your theories, I just know that people should be decent to each other and not spook the horses. :)

Yes! This is a big why I don't think Ray K would care about politics. He thinks street-level enforcement works better than old white guys locked behind giant doors plotting who knows what.

Yes. Live and let live, but if you don't let live, he will kick you in the head. And arrest you. :)
