Holiday Wish List

Like belmanoir, I waffled about posting this, but I figure...it's maybe useful to some folks who like making/giving stuff, and I like reading these things when they pop up on my f-list, so, uh, here!

My Holiday Wish List

-I'd love a seasonal icon for my fishie. I have no graphics editing program, and I've always wanted to have a Christmas/Hannukah-friendly icon to use in November and December. Can someone put a santa hat on my fish? Or give her a little Menorah to chill by? Or sprinkle her with snowflakes? (My needs are simple, yet very specific).

-Feedback and/or recs for anything I've written would be lovely. I'd also love to give you some feedback, so please comment here with a link to your archive/fic tags/memories and I'll throw something together for you. (This is how I get caught up on all my reading, natch).

-I'd also love covers for any of my stories, for those of you who are graphically inclined.

-Song mixes! I have a rather shabby music collection. Other iTunes playlists actually make fun of my iTunes playlists. Truefax! I'd particularly like classical/operatic stuff or instrumental scores from films, as they work like brain candy and I play 'em when I'm marking or writing. But my tastes are catholic, and while I love singer/songwriter stuff (in the vein of Vienna Tang, Josh Ritter, Jeffery Foucault and Rocky Votolato) I've really been on a big-band/torch song bent lately. Vintage recordings from famous vocalists like Billy Holiday or Nat King Cole would rock my socks. Also? Soul music from the '50s, '60s and '70s.

-Postcards. I collect 'em, and I love getting scenery and/or Sites of Interest shots from around the world. If you have any old ones lying around, send them to meeee!

-Lined notebooks. I tend to do a lot of longhand writing, and I go through notebooks quickly. The pocket-sized Moleskin lined notebook (which omphale23 introduced me to in Washington) is the perfect size and allows for easy packing in my purse, but I'll take pretty much anything with a hard, durable cover and ruled pages.

-Wrist-warmers or thick, comfy socks. I'm starting to have some circulation problems owing to some frostbite issues in my youth (oh, Dad, what the hell? Why winter camping?) and my fingers and feet get pretty cold easily. So if you knit or crochet and you're just looking for a project, I am a very willing test subject! I love any shade of blue and green, and soft wool like Bernat's Boucle brand.

-Pens! I love pens! I lose them constantly! I am always in need of more! (Liquid-ink Uniball Vision pens, which are leakproof, waterproof and fade-proof, are my favourite).

There. That was possibly the dorkiest wishlist ever! I suspect a grandmother would ask for something very similar. But my needs are very few. Please link to your wishlist in the comments, if you posted one. I'm trying to keep track of this stuff. \organization/

Clearly, I am not going to meet my NaNo count for tonight. I'm off to A's place to watch House! Don't break the joint, kiddos!
