Happy birthday etcetera_cat!

It's etcetera_cat's birthday! *showers her in sparkles and glitter* Cat's had a bit of a tough year (witness my mastery of the understatement) and hopefully her birthday signals the beginning of a much better time in her life.

Cat's fantastic. She's a brilliant writer (witness her mastery of the Diefster in How to Speak Canine In Seven Easy Steps) and her ( Read more... )

*snorting juice out her nose*

Witness me, all! For I am shiny and will be picking up a ridiculously hi-tech digital camera tomorrow.

Yay v-gifts! Yay RayK!

*twirls in circles*

I totally have a box of stuff to send to you (I swear it was waiting for me to visit Southend this weekend so I could pick you up some further examples of utter tat Englishness) which has all manner of yummy and tacky things in it. I'll hopefully even be swinging past the local post office (which might even be open) at some point next week, so be watching out for some interestingly wrapped airmail!

Meeting up would be all kinds of awesomecakes. I kinda have MJ09 pencilled in in my mind. Even I should be able to save the airfare by then, and being a trans-Atlantic flight away from all my usual hidey-holes will mean that I have to socialise with people and, like, talk and stuff. That could be an intersting experiment.

As for writing dS... my writing seems to be broken period right now *woe* I do have many-thousands of words of the tentative sequel to Seven Steps and Six Degrees sitting around in my laptop, waiting for me to figure out where the hell I put several plot points. It gives me accusative looks every so often.

Ooh box! I am so happy that I made you talk about sending me presents on your birthday. There's an irony in there somewhere that really tickles me :-)

\o/ That's awesome! I cannot wait to see the experiment unfold!

That is squeal-worthy news indeed! I know it's tough to keep motivated with that stuff, but I've found that making myself write, even if it's just a few thousand words a day, can actually earn some results. If that's an option, I would encourage you to try it. Because I want that sequel, yes I do!
