Today I got a really good performance evaluation at work. I'd tell you more about it, but it's confidential. Seriously.
The earthquake happened in the middle of it, but my evaluation was so awesome, it couldn't compete. It was all like "oh shit, that's a damn good evaluation, no way I can steal the spotlight today," and it just kinda fizzled out. So you can thank me and my performance evaluation for having a place to sleep tonight, because who knows what that earthquake could have done if it was left unchecked.
I also got a gift certificate to Olive Garden thanks to a customer comment form. I AM ALL ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Finally, a quote from an overheard conversation wherein someone was trying to set up their friend on a date. "He's from orange county, that's gotta count for something!"
