My potter predictions!!!
My Harry Potter predictions... just in time for Wizarding Wilmington. WOOOHOOOO. Anyone else going tonight??
I have made a point of not reading any predictions on line and I'm actually rather peeved at the reports of stolen and photocopied books... so I won't be on LJ until I finish the book. Last time a book came out some jackass had an icon that said Snape kills Dumbledore.
1 Harry doesn't die. He very very nearly dies, but he survives. In fact, well, he does die, but comes back... Kind of like when you drown in cold water and you are alive when they warm you up.
Voldemort is really truly dead, just like the wicked witch of the west.
2. Although the gang states they are not returning to school, they actually will. They believe there is a horcrux at hogwarts. There are actually two at the school.
3. We learn that Harry's dirty rotten aunt is really jealous that her sister was a witch and isn't quite a squib either. She did eeety beety bits of magic as a child but won't admit it.
4. Uncle Vernon tries to figure out how to get some of Harry's money or his london townhome.
5. I thought I was really smart figuring out Hermione's cat crookshanks was part kneazle, then I read the same info on JK Rowlings website. D'oh!
6. Hermione loves Ron and they live.
7. Harry loves Ginny and they live.
8. Percy is drawn to the power and strength of the death eaters and wavers in his decision to work for the ministry where he has zero power and respect.
9. All the men in attendance fall under what's her face's frenchie influence at her wedding to bill, before it goes to hell in a handbasket thanks to deatheaters. Bill's werewolf bite saves his life when he is severly injured. The attack on the wedding and its attendees signals the start of the wizarding war.
10. Neville Longbottom is truly a hero. He dies. AFTER he kills Bellatrix for killing his parents.
11. Snape was a double agent. He killed Dumbledore after swearing an oath to do so at Dumbledore's request. Snape's loyalty is with Harry, fighting the death eaters. He doesn't appear to be loyal to Harry until very late in the book, but his actions will seriously undermine the strength of the Death Eaters. The Durmstrang head master will return to death eating out of fear.
12 Kreature becomes a complete and total pain in the ass, wreaking havoc and causing the death of.... hrrrrm.... Luna or Cho.
13. With Dumbledore dead and Harry no longer a minor by wizarding standards, his home with the Dursley's is no longer safe and he saves the Dursley's before escaping safely to the Weasley's house.
14. In the final showdown between the death eaters and the order of the phoenix, harry and voldemort once again duel. As the pain and anguish grow, harry begins to lose and submit to voldemorts will. Voldemort tries to force him to kill one of his friends. It is here that the words of dumbledore "you can love" come into play. Surrounded by people who love him, he channels that love energy that they share and is able to once again fight voldemort, becoming victorious, by harnessing the power of love. Harry also sacrifices himself to save Ginny,
15. Dobby gives Kreacher the beat down, Winky sobers up long enough to help.
16. The resistance against the giants is led by Grawp and Hagrid. They don't have much luck, (ie: none) but when the centaurs finally realize that their world is also at risk due to the wizard war, they join the resistance. They don't fight, as that would make them the lackey of humans, but they do tell everyone else what to do with great strategy.
17. Malfoy Jr. will not join the death eaters. He hides. His father gets out of jail when the Dementors join the death eaters to fight in the war.
18 Mid book Harry realizes that life is short, he may not live, Ginny may not live, so he might as well love and kiss and hug and play smoochy face while he can.
19 The Dementors on the lose causes great problems for those who cannot conjur a patronus. Once again, the lessons harry taught the fifth years comes in handy as they are able to perform the charm easily.
20. Mr and Mrs Weasley---one of them dies saving their family.
