So begins the Nor-lurk
Norlurk... sounds like somewhere in Iceland or Sweden or somewhere. We're going skiing in Norlurk this year, to see the Aurora and try the hot springs...
Anyway.
So my Finals start on the 19th and finish on the 30th of this month. Then I'm in mad panic preparation mode (have to, eg, soak my mosquito net in permethrin, hoo-bloody-ray) until the afternoon of February 4th, when I'm off to Malawi. Stay there for 7 1/2 weeks, then go to Tanzania in the last week of March (or rather, fly to Nairobi and pop across the border from there, as all the safari stuff is just over the border from Kenya), safari for a week, then float down to Zanzibar and lie on a beach for a while. I'll be back on the 16th of April early in the morning (like 6.30 or some godawful time, just in time to hit the London rush hour if I'm going back from the airport by train).
In that time I may pop up occasionally; I'd say the most likely times are the first week in February (both before and after I head to Malawi as I'm not starting in the hospital for a few days after we get there so there may be internet cafetude) and just before I come back (cos we're not planning to do a whole lot in Zanzibar and I remember last time I went somewhere exotic I managed to get on Immy chat from Goa). But I'm going to make no promises from now on. If you need to get hold of me for any reason, email is probably best - at least until I head for Malawi I will be checking those reasonably often. I put my email addresses in a fairly recent post. When I'm in Africa I'll be checking emails whenever I can find a computer but that'll probably be once a week or less, so it's safer to assume you won't be able to contact me at all. Oh, it's safe to say I'll post here around the end of jan/beginning of Feb to say whether I passed my finals or not.
Gosh, everything looks a lot closer from this side of Christmas. ARGH FINALS IN TWO WEEKS *dies* See you all around.
