Dance of the Dead

You know how much I love zombie films, right? Well, if you love them too, watch Dance of the Dead!

One of these guys is 30 years old. Really.

It's probably the only talking zombie film that I can stand. Not that it happens a lot... Dance of the Dead is produced and edited by Gregg Bishop. It was written by his friend Joe Ballarini while he was in film school. The movie involves zombies "being shot out like canons" from the grave, every stereotypical teenage role played mostly by real teenagers, zombie frogs, the most disasterous prom since Carrie, cheesy and awesome makeup effects not seen since Peter Jackson's Braindead, zero CGI and probably the most violent make-out scene ever. Best of all, the film contains a trememdous load of frenetic energy and love for the genre... I did not start out loving this movie and I'm not sure if I do love it now. But I sure as hell have lots of admiration for Gregg Bishop, his casting director, his makeup guy Toby Sells and the rest of his happy crew. I also enjoyed the movie very much!
