The vice police in Iran are cracking down on un-Islamic dress again, this time, targeting hair.
Hair stylists, who are not allowed to pluck their customers' eyebrows, are threatened with the loss of their license if they do not comply with the standards.

Fortunately, we don't have a local equivalent that can match this... absurdity, though if greed were to be the issue, perhaps we do after all. There's a theory that all this putting a religious veil over everything is just an excuse. An attention diverter, away from the real (economic) issues. I guess both reasons are equally idiotic. And insincere.
