Whooo! Highly anticipated episode!

The episode starts out with an Inspector Gadget-wannabe of some sort driving in a boat towards Satellite all serious-like whilst inappropriate soft xylophone music that is usually associated with tender, sad moments plays in the background.

But soon enough, the tender music is explained, as we switch to the fourth and final tower, where we find Misty sobbing over a locket with her and her little brother's picture in it.

...why on earth does that boy have Aki's hairstyle?

Right. So...we switch scenes to Yuusei, Ushio, and the twins heading towards the fourth tower and...wait. Wait. What. Someone's missing.

...

...WHERE'S CROW?

...Maybe the writers are sending him over to Jack's tower or something so he doesn't have to angst by his lonesome IDK.

And we find out that the fourth tower is in...a run-down amusement park.

...what. Why was a evil-sealing, potentially life-threatening, giant saving-and/or-destroying-the-world-all-at-once device built...in a children's amusement park? Probably for the same reason why children's card games are destined to save the world. Science, your logic iz flaw'd.

Anywayyyysssss, Yuu and co reach the park, and Mikage and Aki have already split up. Mikage runs into Inspector Gadget man, who claims that he was sent by Godwin.

...and what idiot left the twins alone? Goddammit, with a Duel of Darkness coming up, you DO NOT want to leave two little kids alone.

...even if at least one of them is destined to save the world and has super magical girl powers.

And of course, you can't visit the amusement park without paying a visit to the Hall o' Mirrors. It's where all the bad guys like to hang.

See?

And now Yuusei runs into Inspector Gadget-waitwaitwait. Why is Mikage not with him? And why did he show identification to Yuusei, but not Mikage? Something's fishy...but of course, being the main character, Yuusei falls prey to obviously phailtastic disguises.

I really have a thing for series with oblivious main characters, don't I?

Anyways. Duel start.

Misty herself doesn't come out to play, but you see her reflections all over the place. Also she has a new field spell that makes the mirrors seem more crystall-y. Yeah.

Anyways, a spell card called "Sad Story" is activated and lo and behold, we get to see little brother, who's name is Toby, giving that same locket to his big sis Misty. And then little Toby mentions something about the Arcadia Movement and Aki. And I go 'huh, what'? How does this kid know? I notice that he wears a Duel Academia outfit from Aki's school...hmm...maybe he saw her there first. I dunno...

Also, I see Mirror-Misty in this screenshot and...

Kill me now, plzkthx.

Anyways, apparently every time Aki ends her turn, Misty leads her farther into the maze o' mirrors. Ooooooooo~

Back to Yuu and Inspector Gadget. Gadget says he hears something and points towards a room, where Yuusei finds Mikage knocked unconscious under a grid-ironed floor. And then, all of a sudden, he is attacked by a FIREBALL and whoo, it's (unsurprisingly) Inspector Gadget! Who then summons a sword by playing a card on his duel disc and attacks Yuu.

Fucking sweet, man.

Okay, so Misty has yet another Sad Story Card. Apparently this story comes in chapters. Also...

why the hell is that lizard mark so damned small????

In the flashback, Toby has somehow found his way into Arcadia Movement and is rejected by Aki. BAWWWWW.

Also, monsters attack from mirrors=AWESOME. IF NOT SOMEWHAT CLICHE. BUT THEN THE WHOLE MIRROR THING IS CLICHE SO WHATEVER.

Yuu and Inspector Gadget are still fighting. Gadget does a cheap move to hit Yuu in the solar plexus, then kicks him halfway across the room into the same floor where Mikage is being held. Then, in true classic villain style, instead of beheading him or stabbing him or something, Gadget chooses a torturous way to die: weld the trap door shut with a fire ball and fill it with water, leaving them to drown in a few moments. Mmmhmm.

Back to duel. Now Aki is starting to doubt herself, as one is wont to do when they stare in a mirror and she steps back and trips, about to fall and impale herself on some random shard of glass sticking out of the floor, when who should come and save her but Inspector Gadget! He reveals who he is:

Oh hai thar, Divine.

...wait. Divine? FUCK YES HE'S BACK. WITH A COOL NEW EYESCAR TO BOOT. And...I kinda like the way his new spiked hair looks on him. :D

Also, Ushio finds Mikage's wallet and it has this:

FFFFHHH. I LOL'D. SHE HAS A PICTURE OF JACK IN HER WALLET. AHAHAHA. USHIO IS NOT PLEASED.

But she annoyed me. The first thing she did when she found out she was trapped and drowning was to scream for "ATLUS-SAMA , HELP MEEEEEE!" AAAAGH. Made me want to strangle her. GUHHHH.

Ahaaa, and Aki is wayyyy too happy to see him. Divine wants her to release her powers apparently, but she...refuses? Hm. And then what Divine decides to do is...

SEDUCE HER!!!!

...No, not really. He's just whispering some sort of code word thing in her ear which

causes this. FHHHHHHH. DIVINE LIKE PROGRAMS HIS PAWNS OR SOMETHING. TOO EVIL TO BE TRUUUUUUE.

Anyways, more cards are played, yadda yadda yah, then Aki summons Black Rose Dragon. While it doesn't have a new summon sequence, it does do something badass and pretty much destroys THE ENTIRE FUCKING BUILDING. YESSSS.

So now we see the real Misty at the other end of the building...which was surprisingly small, looking at the size of the lot that was cleared.

And the duel ends, with Divine laughing evillllyyyyyy. Which sounds hot, by the way.

PREVIEW:

Yuusei and Divine duke it out, and Yuusei apparently learns some kind of truth about Toby from Divine? I dunno, but whatever it is, it's causing Misty's determination to waver, considering how her marks are glowing purple in the next ep...
