I want to talk about personal responsibility.
You are largely responsible for your own situation in life. And in those instances where you are suffering "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" you are still responsible for your attitude, your actions, and how you conduct yourself and treat others. A wise person once told me, "Pain is inevitable, Suffering is optional."
As a grown-up responsible adult, you are in charge of your life.... there's no magic fairy that's going to make things go your way..... and "deus ex machina" went out of style with ancient Greece.
There's a kind of comfort and freedom in that. Because you have that responsibility, you also have tremendous control over your actions and your attitude.
