Although today is our anniversary, Nathaniel and I celebrated it yesterday and had an amazing day. We went to see God of Carnage, which is closing :-(. But anyone in New York should see it if they get a chance because it was amazing. The downside was spending our one-year anniversary watching two couples' relationships basically disintegrate. But in an amusing manner!
We also got our hairs cut. I look amazing, as always. And we walked around chelsea market, where there is a new Jeaques Torres. I wanna live by there!
Dinner at cookshop was good. The portions were really fucken large. My appetizer (Farro Risotto, amazing) was the size of a lunch portion, really. I didn't finish it all because I wanted to save room for dinner (Tasting of Lamb). The tasting of lamb was ok. The lamb chop was amazing and the high point of the dinner. But the lamb sausage was poorly seasoned and tasted horribly. My lamb shoulder was ok, but nothing special. And the plate itself looked as though they kinda just threw everything on there in some messy rushed sort of way. Nate had sea scallops over risotto which was very good as well. I would go there again, but I prefer other restaurants such as Perilla.
Over all, it was one of the best nights Nathaniel and myself have had in a long time.
Enjoy
