I hate waiting for service people. They give a seemingly random window of time in they promise they will come and assure you that they will call. Then nothing. I was promised a Dell service guy today while he may indeed arrive, no one has called. Add this to the fact that the landscape guy we are having do some cleanup has cancelled three times now, and my patience is starting to run thin. At least the electrical contractors came on time last week and did an excellent job increasing the service to the garage. This means that I can now hook up the two kilns I have in my possession. I can actually start working with glass again (casting and fusing at least)!
By all this we may conclude that NAS (Norm Abram’s Syndrome) has once again struck the Lilly household. This time it will involve the outside. As both Er and I are clueless when it comes to landscapes, we are hiring a designer to at least work up a 2-3 year plan that we can work from. Armed with this and a yard cleared of ivy, forsythia gone wild, etc. we will begin to beautify the yard (both front and back). The major concerns that Er and I have is that neither of us particularly care for maintenance so the design will have to be very tolerant of the "Hands of Death" we both possess.
