Short bus story (although the bus was actually long)

Sep 14, 2006 21:28

I left school (for the second time today) at 8:45 pm.  The articulated bus, which is wittily called the B-Line, says it has a load limit of 120 passengers, but that’s just a suggestion.  We leave the bus loop with space for maybe three in the stairwell.

There’s one stop on campus before we’re out into Vancouver, and like twenty people get on.  Seriously, there’s only room on the roof now.  Bus driver gets on the PA and says, “I’m turning on the heat.  If it gets too hot, just take off your clothes.  I mean, let me know and I’ll turn it off.”  Lots of laughter.  He carries on, “I know what you’re thinking.  ‘Why aren’t there more buses and why aren’t the bus drivers better looking?’”

And then I got off at the next stop.  There ends my story.  No, this does not mean I now like buses.  I arrived at school at 7 am today, and I got a seat on the bus for the first time this year.
