For moments on Sunday night, it rained ~3"/hour, which is pretty much the point at which you pull over and wait it out if you are driving because you can't really see anything, and there is probably half an inch of water on the road anyway, not to mention possible flash flooding. So I went puddle dancing, which was fun but cold.
Before the rain hit, there was lots of lightning, but it was so cloudy, it was either obscured by clouds or obscured by an overabundance of light. I watched it from my balcony, but it is hard to see much of the sky anyway with all the other buildings. When I went to bed, it knocked out power long enough for my alarm to not go off, and so I was late for orientation on Monday, but no pasó nada, it was fine.
