Depends on the objective.

How's this for a suggestion, though: up the segment of the Pacific Northwest Trail leading up from Chuckanut Drive between Mount Vernon and Bellingham? We'd be in for something like 4-8 miles round trip depending on the exact destination, and would connect with some outstanding views over the islands.

I went blueberry-picking on Tuesday. I swear, I believe it must be one of life's truest pleasures, picking fruit straight from the farm, and then eating it. =) The simplest things are truly the most rewarding.
