The suburban landscape gains a few beauty points, thanks to a dusting of snow.
I'm at Evergreen Donuts, a little coffee/donut shop next to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Lynnwood, waiting for Perkee's blood test to be finished. (She's having an ACTH stimulation test, which will determine the extent to which she's responding to the mitotane chemotherapy.) This is actually a fascinating little place -- people, especially senior citizens, come here in waves to socialize, and my 12-ounce latte was only $2. Makes me feel like I'm in a less urban part of America. Be sure to check it out the next time your cat needs an MRI.
Incidentally, Perkee's recovery from the internal bleeding that brought her to death's door has been nothing short of miraculous. Though her life expectancy remains very short -- her adrenal tumor has metastasized into her liver and spleen at minimum -- it's wonderful that she's able to stay around for a while. Thanks again for all your thoughts/prayers/support.
(Note to potential donut shop visitors: Evergreen Donuts has no Wi-Fi; this post is via T-Mobile EDGE.)
