Delayed shock
So. Not been on here for an absolute age but had a random like notification for a post from 2008.
On having a mooch around i discovered that a guy who i was quite close to on here had committed suicide.
Its so awful to hear and something I've been thinking about only today. It feels like the world is getting harder for people to cope with and i think that has a lot to do with the amount of nastiness around.
The nasty people seem to get away with being arseholes and the ones who live without malice and judgement are the ones who suffer.
It feels like we have to start and be more vocal about doing the right thing. We need to challenge and confront those doing the wrong thing and make sure that those who might need us know that we're there for them.
Some of us may not be able to do all of these.... confrontation is something I'm shite at. But we can all do something.
