The Story In Full - Incomplete

The Story In Full

Do not look at me
 Using eyes of contempt
 Without any attempt
To comprehend what you see

Do not wonder why
 It makes so little sense
 I jump to defense
When accused of a lie

Do not shake your head
Tell me, time to grow up At  With your half empty cup
 Because I've given up
On the path that you tread

Do not come to me
 Accusations and strife
You're no part of my life
And have no wish to be

Do not view my words
 In a colorless light
 They are meant to ignite
To be seen, to be heard

Do not think my face
 Tells the story in full
 That's a stunt I can't pull
For I haven't the grace

Do not call my bluff
 Just to ponder and stare
I will not slide a dare
I'm inclined prefer to play rough

Do not come to me
 Armed with gentle advice
 When my kind favors ice
And the salt of the sea

Do not turn your cheek
When you ask for a fight
 You surrender the right
To the shield of the meek

Do not call me friend
While you ask me to change
 So unbidden, strange
And inviting the end

I'm looking for feedback if there's anyone out there who's up for it. This is a work in progress, as I should really go back to working.
