So happy Thanksgiving to all! Or as I prefer to call it ... Turkey Day! So excited! We picked up the turkey and absolutely everything yesterday. Roomie A couldn't believe how much food we are bringing into the flat yesterday - now he believes us when we told him not to eat much (maybe a small breakfast!). Starting the cook-a-thon savro. Boy E has the turkey covered and AA has the stuffing covered. I did up the pie pastry last night and all is looking well! This evening will be a feast fit for anyone!
I also picked up a Hallowe'en costume yesterday ... I am going to be a bunny! Hahaha I am so excited. AA is going as a devil, Swede C is a cat, and K is going as a bunch of grapes (she just needs a whole lot of purple balloons!). The rest have no clue. L is being indecisive about it - and I am not all too sure that Boy E will be into it.
Oh! I also bought skeleton earings to wear to prac during the day for Hallowe'en! I think the boys will get a kick out of that!
I really hope my revised lesson plans for the boys are okay ... I think that class will be a little hard to plan for because I have to keep reminding myself that, well, they have low literacy so half as much is not covered in the lessons and everything is scaffolded a lot.
Oh! I am also addicted to the soundtrack of Wicked!
And I heard indirectly from M ... The short side of it is his mom sent me an email to let me know he is doing okay and he is in the sandbox. There is some sort of problem with the contract people so he has had no access to email and has only been able to call her so she has to be playing secretary. I am not sure if that was her complaining or not but ... She ought to be thankful to hear from him at all and that it is her who hears from him. Whereas I and everyone else are sort of left hanging, waiting to hear from him.
