Practice Makes Perfect

Holy berserkers! I jammed out with Fabian tonight for about 4 hours and it was pretty fucking tight. That man is incredible on drums and can keep anything on track. The best back bone a band can have. He's like a god on his drum throne! It was pretty badass when we jammed out to Slayer's Raining Blood and Serenity in Murder. Serenity in Murder off of Divine Intervention is fucking hard and fast as hell and don't speak for the drums. The drums off of that album on any track is incredible pain stacking, but Fabian wiled out with it. Pretty fucking fun! I've never actually heard my rigg played to the full effect before either. It sounded fucking NICE! And to think, I was actually going to trade that bad baby in. Then we got to playing random stuff of our own. I had two pieces of material that I really wanted to work on, and Fabian made the most of it. Of course, we have to practice more though until we finish and fine tune it up. We're going to head back down to the warehouse on Sun. It's located in Pompano, and I couldn't believe how many Metal bands played in warehouses on that same street. He named a bunch of bands I've heard of before. Fabian has a pretty pimp warehouse though. It's like a funhouse with a "bar" on the second story. He said when they get an air conditioner in there, I can start working the bar upstairs. I'm down! Man, Fabian wasn't kidding when he said that warehouse was hot as all hell. I never sweated so much before in just alittle bit of time. I felt like I was in a sauna. Funny thing is that Fabian said he had lost like 10 lbs. drumming in there. Shit, I could start shaping up in there while thrashing out and making music too. I want to chill with Fabian's girlfriend. Well, I remember meeting her once at the Strapping Young Lad show. She was pretty damn tall. She's from Germany and lived in Switzerland and I hear Switzerland is such a great place as I thought and English is a pretty major language there now. Which is great since both me and my family always wanted to live there because of the beautiful scenery and benefits, but didn't know if we'd have to learn a different language. Great living! When I met her at the show, Fabian wanted me to meet her because she is a sound engineer and she wanted to meet me because I was a chic that played guitar. I hear she has her own band which she does vocals in. I wouldn't mind checking them out, since she seems like a pretty cool gal. I heard the recording she did for Synapticide and the recording was superb. Pro quality! And I heard she didn't do it on much. Just some junkie mics, a decent recording software, and a small 8-track Mackie mixing console. Damn, I soooo love Mackie. I wish I could get my hands on one. But just a small like 8-track console is major money I don't have. The only thing I heard that costed alot for them was the sound card which Fabian had to help to buy. Almost like a grand of something. Damn! Wow, I wonder if she would take me on as an apprentice. Hehe! Or at least I wish I could observe her as she works just once. Well, I gotta get to practicing until next Sun. and remembering how much times certain riffs are played between changes on a few covers we did for next time. Fabian wants to play a few stuff for some friends of his and his girlfriend to hear us next time.

Tomorrow, I will be playing flamenco guitar for my grandfather as requested by both my mother and grandfather himself.

Oh another note, as I got back about 2 hours ago from jamming out, I made myself a bowl of soup which my cat totally just jumps into--four legs and all. Pretty mad because I only got half way into eating it, and it was a rather large ass bowl. But I couldn't stop rolling on the floor laughing afterwards, because it was so damn cute. My cat didn't realize at first that she had jumped in my soup until she was like wondering...ahhhhh...why her feet were all wet. Then she hulls ass to my room, because she knew she did something bad. AWW, MY CUTE LITTLE TOMATO BISQUE KITTEN! =]
