The Fiona Apple / Nickel Creek show was awesome.
Matt and I got to the venue a bit late because we missed what was part 2 of an exit. A double right, if you will. Nickel Creek had already done one song by the time we got there. Our seats were amazing. Front row pretty much, behind the sound guy but above him so that we had a clear view of the stage, about 10-15 feet from it. The stage rotated so we were face to face with the performers many times. Fiona came out about 5 songs in, Nickel Creek never left the stage though, they played all her background music (there was no piano), and re-arranged some of her songs to where they couldn't be recognized until she started singing. It was really cool to see her like that, although I will try to catch her in her element sometime in the future.
They were both really amazing, Nickel Creek can jam in a way I didn't really think they could, even though they have many instrumental songs I never pictured them a jam band, they rocked though.
