momtothefey memed me, per my request. The rules are as follows: leave me a comment telling me you’d like to have your brain picked and I’ll choose 7 of the interests listed on your profile for you to explain.
So here is my list:
being green: I have been trying really hard this year to cut my impact on the earth. All my light bulbs have been changed out, I carry my own reusable bags when shopping (I even have two that zip into little pouches for my purse just in case I don't have my larger bag with all the other bags). Because of food allergies I tend to do most of my own cooking and save veggie scraps to add to the pot when I make broth. I feel that a lot of my health problems come from living in a toxic world, so I am doing my best to change this.
dragons: I have always loved dragons. I remember as a girl wondering why the knight always had to kill the dragon. I would have had a long talk with them, looked at their wonderful treasure and then taking a nap with them before heading on my way.
luna: Unlike most pagans I always think of the moon as male. Luna the norse god of the moon helps make the night a wonderful time instead of a scary one.
needlecraft: One of the things that I am missing most when it comes to the limits my illness has set on me. I like to have my hands busy and use to always have at least one project going. Counted cross stich is my favorate. I have found a ergonomic crochet hook so I am able to do some crocheting on my "good" days.
old movies: I love a rainy day and an old movie. Years ago an old movie house in San Antonio did a month of old Busby Berkeley movies. Those are the ones where they are doing a play on a stage and all of a sudden the stage is 100 times the size, a pool is in the center, and hundreds of show girls appear. Nothing better!!
owls: Owl is my totem but also a bird that I find very interesting. I have a pair that whoo whoo outside of my window most nights.
water: I am never happier then when I am near water. I can sit by a pool, river, lake, ocean, etc for hours if I am allowed to. Moving water is the best. I love the sound of it, the feel of it and the wonderful surprises it gives you if you are willing to just sit and wait.
