Long over due update

I have been keeping up with many of you by reading your ljs, but have not been very good about posting myself. One of the biggest reasons is that I felt like it would all sound the same. The pain from the fibromyaliga continues to be a large part of my life. We continue to increase medicines but I still have more bad days than good. This christmas season really showed me how far down I've gone. I use to be so busy all the time and now shopping for three hours wears me out for days. I am filing for social security disablity since it doesn't look like I will be able to work full time ever again (or at least until some new medical breakthrough).

My personal life seemed to be going well until earlier this month. The guy from NJ who I had been talking to for a year, had two visits from and who sent present suddenly decided it wasn't going to work. No reasons given, just bye. Not much one can do on the other end of that, so once again I am left with fond memories.

On a positive note, I have enjoyed watching my grandson grow (and my son also). Went on a family trip to Disney to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary (of course there was a lot of drama when you get 13 relatives together, but a lot of fun was had also). My father's health continues to decline, but he is 73 and has had MS for over 40 years. I feel blessed to have each year with him.

I was also able to make it to Memphis this October to celebrate Samhain with the "family". Our group did opening rite for the second year and all went well. I feel so much better when I have the clan around me. Miss those who couldn't be there.

Well I am not going to be a hermit to start the new year. I am going with my best friend and her husband to a party. I am going to stay the night with Suzi since it is a pretty long drive back home. I just don't trust others enough to get on the roads. I am going to try and be more active this year, but we will see how that goes.

Bright blessings on the new year to all.
