No it is not just you. I saw the movie a couple of hours ago and holy frak, Loki is the woobie to end all woobies. I want to provide him with any and all hugs, crowns and orgies that will make him feel better.

Well, yeah. I was kind of all "Nooooooo! Don't turn to the dark side! We have hugs!" Not that he would be Loki if he didn't. It's a quandry.

Really? I loved that scene. Loki was so beautifully manipulative and sneaky, piling one lie on top of another, playing on Thor's own fears and insecurities while Thor sits there getting more and more depressed, but never questioning whether or not he should be trusting Loki's word, and more and more feeling that Loki is the only one left on Asgard who cares for him.

It was a beautiful plan, and if Sif and W3 hadn't run off to find Thor it would have worked, too. Thor would have been on Earth, not trying to return, but handy in case a situation ever arose in which Loki needed him. Fortunately, Loki was too shook up over the "You're actually a Frost Giant" revelation to do a decent job of coaxing Sif and W3 onto his side when they confronted him in the throne room...

I have a love/hate relationship with that scene. He's very suave and cunning and manipulative, and holy hell is that sort of intelligence a turn-on. He's also a giant fucking dick and, if he were some random dude I met on the street, I'd probably rather kick him in the nuts than swoon over him. But I guess if the Norse God of Mischief doesn't get a pass, nobody does.

Believe me, you're not alone. I wanted to give Loki a hug so bad that I made a 5+1 Loki hugging prompt, which just got a wonderful fill.
