News and Status Updates
This is exactly what it says on the tin. I decided to create a separate entry to post news or updates to the community status so they will all be in one place and we won't be clogging up the main page every time there is something to share.
I have created a tumblr for status updates as well. I know the place is in a bit of upheaval right now but I'd much rather use it to post news rather than twitter and instagram doesn't really lend itself to text posting. And since it will just be for posting information, not content, it should be safe from the new content guidelines. So if you haven't already jumped ship from tumblr, you can find the news blog at nkstatus.tumblr.com. From there you can follow or ask questions or just check in as you wish.
I also wanted to let you know about some technical issues with dreamwidth. Dreamwidth has a tool built in to their site to allow you to import content from livejournal, which was how I copied to community over in the first place. My intention was to do periodic imports to copy over new content as it was posted here, however the importer seems to keep hitting some kind of technical snag whenever I try this lately. I have filed a support request with them about the issue but am still waiting to hear anything back. Thus far the only solution I've found on my own to get around this problem was to delete all the imported content and do a completely new import, which succeeded in copying everything over today. So if you've bookmarked any fills over on dw before today, your bookmarks will no longer be valid. My primary concern has always been to make sure all content is being preserved and I'm sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused.
