[Gen or Balder/Loki] Loki didn't kill Balder

Balder isn't even dead.
You see, Balder had these creepy death nightmares since he was young. Frigga took it as an omen and went into super protective my-son-won't-go-near-danger mode. But Balder is a young Asgardian, he wants adventures and glory, and he can't do that with Frigga constantly hovering over his shoulder to make sure no harm comes to him.
So Balder goes to Loki, the basic go-to guy if you're at your wits end, and together they come up with a plan for Balder to get what he wants without defying Frigga. They fake his death, everyone mourns, but Balder is finally free to do whatever he wants- Success!
Now Balder wanders the Nine Realms, helps people, and becomes one of the most well beloved people ever, while Loki, as usual, gets stuck behind with the fall-out of his scheme.
Bonuses: - Loki and Balder keep in touch, because Balder still wants to get the news from home. Hearing how everyone mourns him gives him one hel of a guilt trip. - Hela, either having a beef with her father/mother or just because she inherited his being-an-asshat genes, holds the truth of Balder's death over Loki's head and constantly threatens to expose him. - Balder nearly comes back when he hears what happens to Hodr because of the prank. Loki has to convince him it's a very bad idea. - Loki himself nearly ruins the whole thing by telling Thor, because he's tired of Thor being depressed over Balder's death. (And he whole heartedly believes Thor wouldn't be this sad if he died…)
I'd love Loki/Balder, but any pairings you want or no pairings at all is also great.
