good news
Good news to report.
Since I have been struggling a lot lately and have been without anywhere to stay at all and have been on the streets all night without any sleep on Sunday (did not get much sleep last Friday or Saturday evening either) and then last night the same as Sunday -- with the possibility of many more nights like that from here on out; even though I am not a client of theirs anymore (and was only a limited one for the purposes of them helping me with housing both temporarily and trying for permanent back in 2000), Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has pulled out all the stops once again and are putting me up in temporary digs until July 5th, which is when I am taking my trip down to visit my sister in RI. Have not visited her and others of my family down that way since 1990.
So I will have a safe place to be and get some needed sleep and rest until I head down there for my visit.
Will keep looking for an apartment in the mean time too, but no matter what happens with that, I am definitely going down to RI on the 5th and I told WCMHS that. I need it and it will be great to visit. Things have been really hard for me here.
It may not always seem usual for WCMHS or other agencies to do this sort of thing, yet I am just glad they are helping me when I truly need it. They know me by now and they know I would not be asking them for what I was (actually I was asking for something else and not to be housed in the type of temporary digs they have just arranged for me; I was aiming much lower, for something WCMHS had offered me in 2000 but I declined at the time; which tells me, them and everyone else just how desperate I really am and it was no gimmick either).
Just so you know, I will have limited online both until and, then especially after July 5th (once I hit the road).
