Mhmm...

So, to continue right along...

After parting ways with our old prof, the three of us took the S-Bahn over to Studienforum for our farewell dinner, arriving a few minutes late. The first order of business was filling out a four page survey on our stay here. For the host family part, I just commented on my stay here in the WG. There's no use being bitter about anything- I'm the only one it'd hurt anyhow. After filling out the survey, it was time for dinner: excellent bread, an interesting feta cheese. onion, and olive salad, the typical Italian salad of tomato, lettuce, and semi soggy mozzarella cheese, and then kosher pasta, which was fairly good. Dessert consisted of fresh strawberries, which were very good indeed. After dinner, we played a dice game, where you got to go pick a teddy bear as a prize the first time you got a six. Once everyone had a bear, we all rolled again and again for fifteen minutes, and this time when you got a six, you could switch bears with someone else. A few bears were switched around and around, mostly due to Andy G., who stole Jen's bear just to annoy her and make her have his ugly bear. In the end, we all ended up with our original bears though, so all was right with the world. Now I have another stuffed animal with which to clutter up my floor- I'm sure my Mom is thrilled about that :-). After a few dozen group pictures we all went to the S-Bahn café for a bit before heading home. I once again missed the last bus and had to take a taxi back to the dorm. It was fun though, esp. since there are I couple people I won't be seeing ever again, or at least not for awhile.

Friday
Grabbed lunch at a rather cheap, but still very good, Italian restaurant with Jen and Andy B., then tagged along on a flower shopping expedition. Andy headed home after the flower store, and Jen and I went to use the internet nearby. We then said good bye, and I made a stop by the post office to buy a rather colorful box to ship a few things home. The woman who helped me was very patient and polite, which I very much appreciated. Foreign post offices can be extrememly frustrating places- I shudder to think about what it'll be like in Poland. I also bought a few stamps and shipped off most of my remaining postcards. I apologize for having to cover up some of the text, but German stamps are bigger than the space allowed on the card. After the post office, I basically just went home to set up a check out time, buy groceries, clean up my room, fold clothes, take a shower and go to bed.

I'll finish updating later on today- right now I'm off to get ready to go to a museum since it's free today. I'll be back around 5:30 or 6 pm (if not earlier) my time to eat dinner and do some packing. Take care all!
