Ooooh, I'm fascinated! I love the style you have done this in. A chapter for each year (or so it seems so far), and I love the detail you have put in: James' sister, the dolls, the wood carving. I imagine him being so sweet towards her. And I love how you have twisted the end, so that James somehow senses the destiny that Will carries with him. Looking forward to more!
Until I can exchange you for the doll, and have you to hold instead, Yes an Elizabeth after every other sensible, straight woman's my own heart.
none of them could best a Navy man sword-to-sword Go James, go.
After much debate, James is forced to concede that pirates have the best songs, and Elizabeth is forced to concede that James has much prettier hair than pirates. I just love that line, it seems so sweet and tender, it is also a great way to close off that bit.
I love the Parlay bit, because I love the idea of James teaching her these things.
YES AU, OH LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, so many of these fics end with her fall and it all just goes to pieces as they will never, ever be together.
*BIG gulp of air* Ok. Wow. I think I can make coherent thought now and respond. First of all, you are god. Or atleast god of the AU world that from 2 chapters seems so much brighter, and purer and awesomer than the real world.
Second of all. I love how you write James. I love how he can make dolls and sew and carve, I love that he teaches Elizabeth all that he can about sailing. I especailly love how HE was the one who told her about the pirates colde and parley. Its on your head James... but I LOVE it.
I ABSOLUTELY love how he saw the future and steered us away from it. Thank you, good gosh if I saw that future I would do anything to have it not happen as well.
I love... gosh how I love how much Elizabeth pre-teen-loves James. That makes me want ot love in in return, which is hard for me because most of the time I hate her.
Thank you for sailing into unknown uncharted area, where the map is still vauge and fuzzy around the edges. With all my PotC heart thank you!
