Chapter-1/?
Jack sighed tiredly as he stepped out of the airplane terminal into the crowded airport. It wasn’t so much that the airport was full of people it was just that the airport was about as small as a matchbox and full of people. The airplane that was smaller than a stick of gum and had a rubber band powered engine didn’t do anything for his nerves or his exhaustion. All he wanted to do was check in with Jerry and Gore and pass out in his hotel room.
As he walked over to the collect his baggage he was surprised to see a large poster board sticking up over the crowd. In large blue and gold sparkly letters were the words “We Love Commodore Norrington.”
His curiosity got the better of him; he knew it could just be some fans who had somehow found out he was arriving on the island today. So after grabbing his bags he maneuvered his way through the crowd of locals and tourists towards where the sign was. He smiled in surprise when he saw Kiera and Orlando waiting for him.
“Jack!” Keira yelled happily as she saw him. Jack barely had time to put his bags down before he had an armful of Keira. He hugged her gently against him, happy to see his friend again.
“’Bout time you got here mate she’s been bouncing up and down in anticipation for two days now,” Orlando said with a grin.
“Orlando, shut up,” Keira said as she moved away from Jack to swat Orlando on the arm.
Jack chuckled before motioning to the poster board in Orlando’s hand. “Nice sign mate, if there were anymore sparkles on it I’d think you really did love Norrington.”
Keira laughed and Orlando rolled his eyes before folding the sign in half and handing it to Keira.
“Miss Knightley here thought that regular marker wasn’t enough and decided to pour two bottles of blue and gold glitter on it,” Orlando explained.
“I can see that,” Jack said as he began to gather up his bags again with Orlando’s help.
“What? It’s pretty and eye-catching,” she said in annoyance.
“Of course it is love, you just keep telling yourself that,” Jack said as he and Orlando began to make for the exit.
“Excuse me but I spent the better part of an hour making this sign for you,” Keira said in annoyance as she followed the two.
“The better part of an hour to make a sign with some sparkles on it?” Jack asked in surprise.
“Well I had to start over at one point cause I realized I’d spelled Norrington wrong, then I had to find some sparkles and do you know how hard it is to find blue and gold sparkles, extremely hard.”
Jack looked over his shoulder at smiled at her disgruntled expression. Her eyes softened as she looked at him and finally smiled back.
