Thank you. Your comment is much appreciated. I find that I pick words I like and try and fit them in, rather than picking the story first. LOL.

Oh, I have had the most horrid day and to find this has made it infinitely better. Pitch-perfect Norribeth, excellent Norrington, perfect Elizabeth. This line just slays me: But until then, there is something within him; something screaming to get out, begging her to see that he is not the dull boring Commodore, whose only interest is in maps and propriety, duty and tracking down pirates. He wishes Elizabeth could see that he would rather navigate her each and everyday, discovering and not just performing this perfunctory ritual that she has created.

Everything is just beautiful and lovely and I will pimp this out.

Thank you!

That means a lot coming from you, whose Norribeth fic I have always loved! It is always nice to hear what other people like in a story. I didn't want Norrington and Elizabeth to be out of character either. It wouldn't be believable if they just didn't have an obstacles.

UM WOW BEAUTIFUL, IMPRESSIVE ETC.

This was wonderful, dear. You have both characters down to a T.

Thank you! It means a lot to know that I got the characters right. I hate it when fic has OOC protagonists, so I tried my best, and it is great to know that you think it worked.

Beautifully written. Poor James got beated up for protecting his wife's honour. I guess it was worth it as they became closer after that. Bravo on writing such a long story! :)

Thanks! I didn't intend it to be so long, but it just turned out that way. I'm glad you liked it.

Aw, I'm a sucker for good Norribeth. What these two have is a failure to communicate, and you express that so well. I feel like James needs a Wonderfalls stuffed bass or chameleon puppet to help get his words out.

Do you have a fanfic archive somewhere? The only other story of yours that I know about is "Requiem," and I would like to read more--or is "Requiem" your only other story?

Yes. Poor James. That inner code of conduct certainly doesn't make things easy for either of them.

Sadly, no fanfic archive, because you are correct in guessing that Requiem is my only other POTC fic. But I am working to remedy that - working on a follow up to Requiem, and probably going to be asking for some prompts from this community in the future.

(If you have any requests, get them in now, LOL)

Oooh. Well, I'd love to see a fic about what's running through Governor Swann's head as he's languishing in jail after helping Elizabeth to escape. I've also wanted to see a fic about Swann's first meeting with Norrington after James returns to Port Royal with the heart.

I have some post-AWE AU plotbunnies hopping around my head, but I want to see if the spoilers actually pan out in the movie. ;)

I have a few post-AWE ideas too, but by the time I get around to writing/posting a fic, I probably would have a fresh lot of obstacles to consider in the POTC-timeline. :)
