Hi! As you can probably guess, I'm new, so please don't roast me!
I'm a devoted Norribether (Loved the ship since their first appearance in CotBP) who has just recently finally found the motivation to join livejournal, and here I am!
I bring a few drabble-ish things:
Title: Practicing the Proposal

“Miss Swann - Elizabeth. You must allow me to speak. I fear I am no word smith,” here James winced at his choice in words, “But, for better and worse, I do hope, that is, it is my deepest - no - fondest wish that you would, you might condescend - consent to take, err, accept my courtship and that you would … someday … Oh, hell, Elizabeth, I love you more than life itself. Marry me?”
A door slamming behind James made him jump as his footman entered the dressing room where he practiced.
“Begging your pardon, milord, but you would do well to leave for Fort Charles soon.”
James looked at himself in the mirror.
“She’s going to laugh at me,” he sighed, following his footman out of the room.

“James, won’t you please tell me another story? It is my 14th birthday!”
The teenage Elizabeth Swann fidgeted in her chair, watching her visitor closely, begging him for another of his tales.
“I’m afraid I haven’t brought you a story today, Eliza.”
She greeted this news with a great pout, causing the junior captain to chuckle.
“Come now, I’ve brought you something much better!”
“Really? What is it?!”
“Close your eyes,” he grinned, “And give me your hand.”
With a little protest, she did so, and he placed a tiny scrimshaw replica of the Queen Anne’s Revenge in her palm.
Now, if I could just get those live-journal cut things to work ...
