Summary: After being drummed out of the Navy in disgrace, James Norrington is a dissolute drunkard living on Tortuga. But when he is given an opportunity to set sail once more, James finds himself embroiled in an adventure that will reunite him with old acquaintances and introduce him to new friends and foes alike, and he will discover that not everything - or everyone - is what it seems.

Because so many of you had such lovely responses to this fic in my last thread, I have decided to post updates for A Vagrant Gypsy Life here. The fic is James-centric and not, strictly-speaking, a romance, although there is certainly some Norribeth content as well ;) However, Elizabeth is not present for much of the fic, in the interest of full disclosure. That said, this is my take on Scruffington if the events of DMC hadn't happened, so for those of you who enjoy gritty, scoundrelly James, this story is for you! Chapter 10 has just been posted, so enjoy!
