Naito Satoko, one of the hosts from Goji ni Muchu! on Instagram:
本日のゲストINKTのKOKIさん。
爽やかでした〜( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
Today's Guest INKT's Koki san.
It was refreshing to have him on 〜( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
I love this show~ they have their own yt channel so ppl can actually watch them!! So here's the link of Koki being Guest Commentator!! It's an early morning (5 a.m.) show like Good Day LA or something for Tokyo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvqo_tRE9zI My notes, not a direct translation:
They intro Koki as the guest commentator and ask if he knows about the show. He says yes. They ask if it's okay for him to be there at such an hour, and he says its okay, he'll come out whenever. They intro him to the other guest commentator, who is an actress, and she says it's their first time meeting and her impression of him is that he's kind of wild.
On the show, they bring up various topics, and then the guests talk about the topics. The overriding topic of the day is Golden Week, and they ask ppl, including the viewers, what they plan on doing:
1) play 2) work 3) nothing
The actress says it's hard to find tonjiru in stores, so she likes to make tonjiru at home, eat it, and sleep on her days off. Then they ask jokingly if Koki has eaten tonjiru lately. He says, yes, I have and I like it (laughs). Then he says for Golden Week, he's been working since he was a kid, so long holidays are more about work. This year he's getting ready for an upcoming concert.
Topic #8: Urufu date
I have no idea what an urufu date is, so I don't know what they're talking about. But they ask Koki about it, and he says, I don't really date that much, but" and the guy goes, "Come on, now!"
Then Koki says he prefers to go on dates where they can get their hands dirty I guess?, then he mentions a ichigo (strawberry) date. I don't know if he means picking strawberries or what. Then the other guest asks if he means like riding motorcyles across country or something, and he says, yeah, but more like doing something unusual that you don't usually do. They ask the hostess where she would like to go on a date with Koki, and she goes... then they laugh and she turns red, then she says she would like a date in Roppongi Hills where you can get champagne and watch a movie. Then the other host says to Koki, okay, there it is Koki, be careful going home, and he say okay.
Topic #7: versatile hairstyles that work for both work and recreation
The other guest says she has an image of Koki always changing hairstyles. Koki says he used to like to try new styles and be adventurous, like dye his hair red and stuff, but since he's almost 30, he doesn't do that as much. He wants to get cuts that make him look younger. Then the host asks the other guest what she would advise for Koki's hair, and she says to grow out the sideburns really, really long. Then they ask the other host who's just a bit older than Koki. He asks Koki if his mom cuts his hair. Koki says never. Then he invites Koki to go with him to where he gets his haircut, which is some mom who sits in the park and gives haircuts. They ask if it's his mom, and he says no, but I just like to go to the park, read the paper, and get my haircut cuz the weather's nice.
Topic #6: Bad guy/girl role in films
They ask Koki if he would like to do other types of entertainment besides music, and he says yes, if he's asked to. He would like to try a good-guy role, for example, since he's mostly played the mischievious type. The other guest says she has an image of him being like a comical con-man, and the other host says maybe Punch Dorobo would be fun. Koki's like, fun?Yes, I would like to see you do that role. The host says, okay, it's not middle school recess time now.
Topic #5: Sad tears
Have you ever had a time when you cried because you were really sad? Koki says the first time he got called for a show, he was in middle school and his parents were at work, so they missed the call. He said when he found out he couldn't be in it, he went home and cried. Now he never likes to turn anything down. The host says, if you want to turn something down, you should. And Koki says, he's even done stuff like swim with piranhas. The host says that initial wound hasn't healed, and Koki says probably not.
Topic #4: Practice, Learning, and Sleep
When they ask Koki about it, he says that his hobby used to be body building, so he thinks that sleep is important for the body, because it's when you rest that your body recovers and builds muscle. The host asks if he's stopped body building, and he says I haven't done it lately, but I've been doing martial arts since I was around 7. The host asks the female guest how his chest feels, and she touches it and says, yeah, it feels like he's got 2 packs under there.
Another guest comes out and talks about how being able to stick out your tongue a certain number of times in 5 seconds can be an indicator of future potential for dementia, because there's a correlation between that muscle and the part of the brain that is linked to dementia. So they go on the street and ask people to see how many times they can stick their tongues out in 5 seconds. Then they have a doctor showing some exercises to improve those muscles. They ask Koki what he thinks of that segment, and he says that the video was kind of erotic. Then the other host asks Koki to try it. It happens around minute 27:00. If someone would make a gif of it, I would really love it XD.
Topic #3: Paul McCartney's "Get Back" con at the Budoukan
Host asks Koki if he listened to the Beatles. He says yes, but it wasn't his era. They ask who was his influence, and he says the first band he really loved was the Sex Pistols and Sid Vicious when he was in middle/high school. The host says he's in a rock band, right? and Koki says yes. Host asks what his future plans are, and Koki says PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR HIM OVERSEAS, SO HE'D LIKE TO GO THERE, (heartattack!) and he also dreams of playing the Budoukan someday. The host says, there are people waiting overseas? and Koki says that people from overseas have asked him to go there. Host asks if there's a certain style of music he'd like to try or a new challenge he'd like to take on, and Koki says rather than a new challenge, it's more of a sense that he'd like to focus on doing music well. The host asks him to intro his new cd, which he does, and plugs the next concert, and then they run a clip of the Physalis MV. The host asks if the younger host is listening, and the younger host goes, You're so serious! I'm surprised! The host asks him what he thinks about Koki wanting to play the Budoukan, and the younger host says they won't fit in the Budoukan. So he goes, what should he do? The younger host says, go for the Dome. Koki goes, okay.
Topic #2 Manga
Host asks Koki if he likes manga. Koki says he loves it and he's an otaku. What are his favs lately? He reads everything of all genres, even ones that only come out for a short time. He's loved JoJo and Dragonball forever. Is he the type that buys weeklies? Shounen Jump. They ask the younger host what he likes, and he names a porn manga called Pizzatsu and says it's great, and Koki nods. They ask Koki if he likes it, and he says it's a big jump to an adult genre while nodding his head. Younger host asks Koki where he hid his? Koki says, I just read my older brother's.
Topic #1 Something about Strip Shows at Funerals in China
They ask if Koki would ever have a stripper at his funeral, and he says if the bereaved are okay with it, then fine, but he worries about how his family and loved ones would take it.
A Message from a viewer: Koki looks cute and grown up and she's really happy to hear that he's making music. She wants to know if there's some hardship that he hasn't mentioned. The host says he's got a stoic image. Koki says, really? It's more that he just goes to the extreme sometimes. For example? To get ready for the concert, he's been jogging lately. He has a lot of pets, so he'll take them all out for a walk and go jogging. The host says he seems very serious-minded and Koki looks happy. The host couldn't find the other message, but she said some viewers were asking if Koki is okay getting up this early. Koki said it's definitely okay.
Quote Maker segment:
Koki sits on a throne, and he fills in missing phrases from famous quotes.
"Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in _______________."
Koki's answer: "Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in being able to give some things up." He says that if you can give up things like your own pride, your own time, sleep, then it must be real love.
The original quote by Antoine de Saint-Exupery: Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.
The next quote is by Goethe, but I'm not sure where the blanks were. It was the "Who never eats tears with his bread" quote.
Koki talks about being satisfied with your self. I don't have time to watch it again, but if I do, I'll fill this part in a bit.
The next one: You just can't beat a guy who ________.
The younger host said, You just can't beat a guy who's D is bigger than yours. You should see the other guest's face after he said that :DD
Koki's answer: You just can't beat a guy who's thrown away his pride. He says that throwing away your pride in a good way, that person can do anything without fear.
Original quote by Babe Ruth: You just can't beat a guy who won't give up.
The host asks if Koki can come back every week. The other host says that he's only in his 20's but he's great. The younger host says that he had a completely different image of him, and that even though he's younger, he's got himself together. Then he does the weather repo and promotes "Koki chan's" cd Physalis.
They also said it was refreshing to have him on, and the other guest said he's gotten sexier as he's aged. XD They ask how old he is, and he says 29.
Aand now I understand a couple of mysterious tweets from that day, especially Naru's porn twt. XD Here's that day's blog entry:
