Subaru's team played at Koshien again today but lost. Some quick comments:
- The first article below is a must-read.
- The fact that the team made it to Koshien is amazing. Like how many times did we hear that Kame's team went to the Little League finals ;D, and this is freaking Koshien. Just having made it there is a dream come true and something to tell your grandkids, so congratulations!
- Subaru's school was trending on Twitter again today, not the winning team's school. After I read the article, I realized why.
- During the first round, a few days ago, some people online were commenting that Koki should've covered his tattoos at the game because there were little children watching. So like the good boy that he is, he was said to be wearing long sleeves at today's game, despite the summer heat. Oh I just noticed he's wearing 2 shirts 👀 The green polo is like the school shirt or smth cuz I saw other ppl wearing it, and then he had to put a long sleeve underneath. 💦
- In the pictures, it looks like Subaru and Koki are crying. Those aren't tears. (say it with me) That's sweat from the heart. XD I mean honestly, Koki is sitting there in the hot summer sun with two shirts on. I don't know if he's crying or just about to pass out from heat-stroke ttytt.

二松学舎大付の弟・田中彗投手の応援に駆けつけた田中聖
第９９回全国高校野球選手権大会第１０日（１８日）、元ＫＡＴ‐ＴＵＮの田中聖（こうき＝３１）の弟である二松学舎大付（東東京）の右腕・田中彗（すばる）投手（３年）の夏が終わった。
彗は三本松（香川）に３点リードされた９回一死満塁のピンチで２番手として登板したが、左前適時打と遊ゴロで追加点を奪われた。直後に２点返したが試合は２―５で敗戦。初のベスト８入りを逃し「甲子園で優勝するつもりでやっていたので悔しさでいっぱいです」と肩を落とした。
それでも自己最速の１４１キロをマークするなど持ち味を発揮した。初戦に続きスタンドで観戦した兄・聖について彗は「自分が高校２年生でメンバーに入れてないときに『頑張れよ』とかＬＩＮＥで送ってきてくれたりして、家族のためにも頑張ろうと、ずっと思ってやってきたので、ありがとうと言いたい」と感謝の言葉を述べつつ「甲子園に来る前に『甲子園を楽しんでこいよ』と言われていたので、甲子園を楽しめたと伝えたい」と最後には笑顔を見せた。

Summer ends on the 10th day (the 18th) of the 99th Annual Japanese National High School Baseball Championship Finals for Tanaka Subaru, 3rd Year Right-handed Pitcher for Nishou Gakusha (East Tokyo Div) and brother of former KAT-TUN member Tanaka Koki (31)
Subaru came out to the mound against Sanbonmatsu (Kagawa) as a relief pitcher in the 9th inning, 3 points down, 1 out, and bases loadedが、左前適時打と遊ゴロで追加点を奪われた。The team came back scoring 2 points in the bottom half but still lost 2-5. Not having pitched in the first 8 innings of the game, "We came to Koshien playing our best with the intention of winning it, so it's really disappointing," he said with slumped shoulders.
Still, hitting a personal best of 141 km/hr during the game showed that he has what it takes.
Regarding his brother Koki, who was watching all the games from the stands, Subaru says, "When I was a second year student and wasn't part of the team yet, he sent me encouraging LINEs like, 'Good Luck.' I came all this way thinking I'll do my best for my family, so I want to tell him thank you." With words of gratitude, Subaru says, "Before we came to Koshien, he told me to enjoy my time here. I want to tell him that I did enjoy it," flashing a smile in the end.

０-３で迎えた９回表１死満塁で登板。適時打と内野ゴロで追加点を許した。それでも自己最速の１４１キロ直球を投げ込むなど持ち味は出した。スタンドでは初戦に続き兄が観戦した。
田中は「流れを変えられず悔しいです。甲子園のマウンドは投げやすかった。特別なところでした。大学で野球を続けて投手として頑張りたい」と話した。甲子園では２試合に登板。１回２／３を投げ２安打１失点だった。
