I should make a "kra-tothe-daayum" tag....

After the initial and major FLAIL while listening to Kris and Adams albums (thank u @universe for pre-order) I have decided to write a review.

If Cantiello and Slezak can so can I right?? I can be professional too.

I don't even know where to start! Well maybe with the single right?
Live like we're dying - I really like this song and I ADORE the Script.. BUT I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that it wasn't like an Kris Allen original cuz the Script is written all over this song. I have to say though that I almost always seem to complain about the first single in albums. If I view it from one point I guess it does have everything a single must. A catchy tune and good lyrics but most of all a sound of what the album will sound like.I'm just kinda happy that I've learned the song well enough so I don't mess up the lyrics any more...almost anyway XD.

I think that one of the things I like most of the album is that ALL the songs are catchy in one way or another. In the up-beat songs it's everything from Before we come Undone and Written All Over My Face which I guess would be defined as more basic pop/rock than the others, but then BAM you hear Can't Stay Away and Alright With Me. The guitar riff in Can't Stay away is funky and Alright with me is by far one of my favorites! I do have ONE problem with these two songs...When I ride the subway I try to do the guitar riff of Can't stay away (improving my air-guitar skills) and I start bouncing on my seat with Alright with me...Stares from all directions....
Bring it Back is also one of my favorites. The lyrics are for one amazing! (Although I have to say the songs with the best lyrics are either The truth or Is it over) But it's just something about the lyrics and the way its produced that makes it extra something! And the chorus of "Take your love, bring it back, bring it back. I forgot what love is, bring it back, bring it back" makes my heart ache.
But lets not take away the spotlight from the song with the MOST feel of them all: "I need to know". If Kris sang this while laying down on the floor as he says, then EVERYONE should lie on the damn floor ok! This is where I get pissed off with some of the other reviews of the album that I've seen where they say they dont see Kris really "connect" with some of the songs. *takes a moment to cyber-slap them all across the face*
If I see Kris perform that live with a sad face I'll get teary eyed or cry. Kid u not! PS: Please Kris do a world tour or something...just come to Sweden. U owe Tobias Karlsson!
One song that might be a little disappointing is Red Guitar though. Sorry but there was just sooo much talk about that song and how u can hear him "connect" with it in a different level than the rest. I don't know. I just get more "feeling" from I need to know. I think Red Guitar will grow on me though if I give it time. I do have to say that I didn't expect the song to fit into the album as well as it did since Kris wrote it like a year ago.

Overall review: I was very positive impressed by Kris on this album. And you can notice that he has taken some vocal sessions because all the small notes he might had trouble with on American Idol he is doing perfect now, and I do include the live performances of the songs. He is pushing the envelope with the voice - sweet! (or "A++++" as Randy would say).
One thing that I do feel like I have to point out is the fact that "he sounds human" as Jim put it. Me, I LOVE to hear people perform live cause you get a different- more real- feeling to it all, but I hate the fact that the background music isn't the right volume or that you hear people screaming in the background. In this album I get both of those two worlds! Kris singing with a "live" feeling cause you can hear him breathe for gods sake but then I dont get the crap of the background noise from live shows or the instruments topping the sound of Kris's voice.

Adam. Adam. Adam.
Starting with the single again cuz it might help finding the words for the album
For Your Entertainment- YES YES YES! This is what I want from Adam the most. The up-beat "listening on my way to the party"-songs to get hype! Don't get me wrong though. Adam connects with emotional songs just as good as Kris does, as you might see if you keep reading, but it's the in your face and sexy songs that I wanna hear most from him. Maybe because I know there wont come a day that Kris Allen will sing lyrics like "Its alright youll be fine baby, Im in control/ Take the pain take the pleasure/ Im the master of both"....well...in public anyway.

I guess in the same category of song I can put If I had you, Strut (KARA DIOGUARDI I FORGIVE YOU FOR WRITING NO BOUNDARIES), Sure Fire Winners, Music Again and also Fever. Now I wanna talk about Fever for a minute. Lady Gaga I will worship you forever and a day for this song. I had high hopes on this collaboration but HOLY FUCK. And also......this song got me into trouuuuuuuuuuuuble...
Here's the thing: I've been helping out my cousin by cleaning her preschool in the afternoons when the kids are about to leave. As always I listen to music while I clean the rooms, which lead to the end result of kids watching me dancing dirty with the vacuum cleaner as I listened to Fever.......#FML
Not cool....

I guess close to those song above is should be Pick U up but a part of me is just not feeling this song. I think it's because it sounds like a song that they always play on the commercial on TV here, and I dont really like the guy that sings it. Ironically he's from the Swedish version of Idol......

When it comes to Whataya want from me, I have to admit that I had to warm up to the song. When I heard it for the first time it was more like *right click and save for hard breakups in the future*. Maybe I just wasn't expecting that as a second single, I dont know really. I think I just put too much high hopes on Max Martin. It's like everything he touches sound a bit the same these days to me. I like the song just fine though now. Maybe I just lower my expectations on Max?

One of my two favorite emotional songs is Broken Open. I love the "space" feeling I get from this song. Are there any space movies coming out soon? This song should be in the soundtrack. Alien from planet Fierce and human meet at the end of the movie and the camera rotates around them as they make out in space and cuuuuuuuuuue song. BAM instant money-maker!
Seriously though, this song is the perfect example to show people that Adam is more than a screamer or over the top. He has artistry! *Wink to Kara*

Next emotional song that I LOVE is Soaked - this song KILLS ME. It's just soooooooooo beautiful/aching/epic?
I can't even find the WORDS! All I can say is that this song makes me go like this:

Matthew Bellamy, the writer of Soaked, I am holding a hug with your name on it and Rob Cavallo for the way he produced it...
EPIC U GUYS!

Do I need to make a overall review? I'll do one anyways :D
I can say that I got what I expected from Adam, which is not as bad as it sounds! I know I said that Kris impressed me but the fact that I say that Adam full filled the expectations just say how MUCH I was demanding from him. What I wanted the most was songs like Fever, Strut and If I had you and those were as good as I only hoped they could be. What completely threw me off was Soaked though because I hadn't really thought about the slow songs even if Adam performing songs like If I can't have you and Tracks of my tears are overabused on my phone.

I have to say though. How WEIRD am I if I like two different artists and albums, equally???
It's just Kradam love baby!!!

LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND TELL ME IT DOESN'T WARM YOUR HEART. I DARE U!!
ICU "certain type of ring" ICU.
PS: Ignore all spelling and grammer mistakes. It's almost 3 am here XD.
