(no subject)
As I write this I'm sitting next to fuzzie, who's tapping away at openc2e code, whee. We almost got Creatures 2 physics working.
Norway was most excellent. Flew into Oslo airport and it was snowing outside; magical! Having never seen snow before (well, not since before I can remember), this was something of a novelty. holmen did not share my sentiments, having lived in Norway for approximately forever. Pez (who is short!) picked me up from the airport and we drove up to Lillehammer. Met and had dinner with Pez's family (her dad, step-mum and twin little sisters), who mostly don't speak any English. Turns out Pez and I ended up staying elsewhere for complicated reasons, so we went there and crashed.
Wednesday Pez took me skiing at Hafjell (my first time skiing, obviously) and it was most enjoyable. Only fell over a few times! Definitely want to try again. On Thursday Pez fell ill, which was doom, so we stayed inside. Friday Pez was still ill, but we trundled off to Maihaugen, which is a cute 'old town' of Lillehammer. It was freezing cold! And snowing. So we didn't stay particularly long.
And then I flew off to teh Netherlands.
