Spent today going through the news, all the articles and op-eds and blogs, to try and grasp the enormity of it all. Osama Bin Laden is dead.
The view from my bedroom window is the skeleton of what will become One World Trade Center. The skyline is supposed to be different from what I'm looking at, and that makes it very hard to feel anything other than satisfaction that that sonofabitch is gone. Even as they're constructing the memorial site, they're still finding body parts of people killed because of him.
That yesterday was Yom Hashoah, the Day of Remembrance commemorating the Holocaust, makes the destruction of a symbol of hatred and intolerance and murder that much more poignant.
On to better things: so, is royalty RPF the new fandom now?
