Wow, this is embarrassing...
Since everyone else is doing this and I'm being threatened by certain PEOPLE, have a meme! This makes me sadder than I care to think about looking at all my unfinished fics. The worst part is that this is just a sample of what's lying around.
The WIP meme: post a single sentence from each WIP you have (or as many as you want to pick). No context, no explanations.
1. "Get to the part where you want to use my baby to trick celebrities into posing for Crimson."
2. "Before the tour ends, I'll betcha anything I end up having to tweet the fans to tell them we're all in the hospital with food poisoning because Danny needed to have, I don't know, Latin-Asian fusion at 2 AM in order to make it to Grand Rapids."
3. He knows and she knows that Kris and Katy have always been Krisandkaty and will always find a way to still be Krisandkaty, but that doesn't mean there also can't be a Krisandadam, too.
4. "The first thing I learned about you was that if it was at all possible, you wouldn't sit idly by while people were suffering if there was something you could do to help."
5. While he clearly thought he was winning her over with his charm and looks -- and oh, he had both in abundance -- Anna had no intention of dropping her guard; obviously, the man had no idea who he was dealing with.
6. The girls temporarily occupied debating the merits of faking a kidnapping, Patrick took the opportunity to lock the bedroom door and call for help from the only person he could think of who would understand the craziness in his life at that moment.
7. "This is the first time in human history that people can foresee a true era of peace, one that will last far beyond the shelf lives of the politicians who maintain it."
8. Caldwell didn't normally play the "what if" game, but he found himself wondering if his presence -- the Daedalus might have arrived sooner than the Apollo; he was more familiar with the Replicators than Ellis was; he had finally figured out how the Atlantis expedition worked together -- might have made a difference; if she might have made it out of there alive.
9. He had left the other Elizabeth behind; he owed it to her to take this Elizabeth with him.
10. "One day you'll wake up and realize that you want Robin Scorpio -- that strong, amazing woman -- to love you with everything she has, and when you realize that she'll never be able to do that, you'll spend the rest of your life wishing you had met her first."

In mildly less-depressing news (and because my OCD finally looked at my current organizational system and died in a corner), I moved my fic to its own journal, nj_fic. Updates/new stuff will be posted there from now on, but I fully intend to still rant and panic about fanfic/fandom here. Sorry, you're not rid of me yet.
And since I can hear lapiccolina panic every time I talk about American Idol/Kradam fic, I also claimed Robin/Patrick over at 1sentence. Not like writing reeeeeeal fic, but at least she gets five sets of 50 sentences about Scrubs? And I get to keep my writing of them fresh. Win-win!
