Weekend television was good to me!

OMG! Hi, evil!Spike! I missed you! Seriously, that's pretty much who James Marster's character on Torchwood was, complete with the British accent and sociopathic, snarky goodness. Should I be concerned that I like JM best when he's playing amoral characters? I hated neutered!Spike so, so much.

But! Evil!Spike and Jack Harkness! So much hot! Toshiko had things to do! Gwen and Owen didn't make me want to punch them (except when Gwen was being stupid, but even that felt like less than normal)! And Jack and Ianto!!! This is one of the only shows where I slash characters, but if the writers are going to hand it over on a silver platter like that...

And what can be said about Psych, other than "OMGEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!"? Shawn and Gus investigating on a Spanish soap opera?! It really felt like they embraced the cliches of the genre as opposed to making fun of them. I do wish they hadn't gone the easy route of having the killer be the obsessed fan who couldn't tell the difference between fantasy and reality, but that's a minor quibble when the police arrest the headwriter because he spend too much time thinking up murder scenarios. Is it wrong that a tiny part of me screamed "Yay! Maybe the same thing will happen when they realize how many characters have died under Guza's watch!"?

Murders committed with nail guns by women in evening gowns! Dumping bodies in the well only for the character to emerge alive! And who's the father of Serena's baby?! This show owns my soul, I swear.
