Grr. Argh. Also, randomness ahoy!

Good God, it's almost noon and I don't think this day will ever end. A latte break will definitely be in order soon, especially since being able to concentrate on my work is sort of a prerequisite to, you know, keeping my job. The big project will (hopefully) be over this week, so I can de-stress a little over the weekend.

Why do I stay up until 2 in the morning reading fic for a fandom I'm not even into when I have to get up at 7 AM? Seriously not a good idea on a lot of levels, is all I'm saying.

Ficlet Requests
Okay, here's the thing: I need to start writing again. Since I can't seem to get a handle on any chapters for the fics I should be working on, I'm offering up my services for ficlets. Or rather, I'm conscripting you guys to give me prompts/pairings/whatevers in any fandom I know about that you want to see. I want to get my creative juices flowing again, so here's your opportunity to help the cause get a free mini-fic!

Reply to this post with any pairing in any fandom I'm likely to know about, or a theme or idea you want to see. Basically, if you want it, I'll write it. This could be fun!

In non-fandom news: Bush Vetoes Children's Health Insurance Bill. SCHIP's reauthorization passed with a veto-proof majority in the Senate (because it's that bipartisan), but there weren't enough votes to override a veto in the House (the vote was 265/159, and 286 votes are needed to override). This is a list of how the House voted. Two Reps. who voted against reauthorization have already said they would override a veto. Given how much of my life the last few months has been devoted to this, I'm incredibly disappointed by the President's actions.
