Haha. Did that creep you out a bit? Looking at it now, it kind of creeps me out too. I'm so happy to hear from you!! It's been far far far too long. I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick again. If I could send you a care package filled with Dr. Patrick Drakes (yes, multiple Patrick Drakes), multiple tea varieties, chicken soup and a fluffy pillow.
I'm good. I'm in my third week of school. It's been great so far. I've been hanging out with the boy, which has also been great so far. I'm in a creative writing class and it's scary and daunting, but so so so good. I'm making preparations to start working on D&D and to finish up BTW. Because the last thing I want is for it all to be irrelevant.
I'm a little out of GH fandom loop. And with the board as well. I feel like I'm missing a lot of good fic, but I just don't have the patience to filter. I'm pretty much where you were at the beginning of the year, remember? Maybe I'll get empressearwig to post up a list of fic recs. I ( ... )

The last thing I read in its entirety was Candie's "Close Quarters" -- I think that's what it's called. The one with that beautiful beautiful ending... filled with sadness and sorrow.
I've also started reading Jen's (buckingham's) new one, and some of Meg's one-shots. I scrolled around but can't really determine what's good out there anymore.

A care package of Dr. Drakes would be the best invention ever, and would probably solve world peace. I'll make due by using my your Patrick and Noah icon, because that's still yummy.
Damn, it has been too long since we've chatted. I didn't realize you were so far into the semester already. Eee! I'm very excited for your writing class, because anything that gets your creativity flowing is a good thing in my book. D&D!!!! You've just make my week with that! And, heh, BTW...we still have to finish that, don't we? I can't send you my stuff until my computer comes back, but that should hopefully be soon.
I'm pretty meh on GH entirely at the moment, fandom included. Like, I just don't have the energy to deal with the politics, which you still do even if you just want to read fic. So I shall focus on the entirely too much new TV I'm watching this week.

D&D is scary and daunting. Scary. And. Daunting.
But I'll do my best.
I actually spent some time thinking about BTW yesterday. I'm so ashamed that it's taken me so long. I suck at dead lines, lol.
I go on the board maybe once a week. And stay in about two threads. I'm behind on some stories that I shouldn't be, but I'm hoping that the stories will get finished and I can read them without reading the replies. That's honestly, the best way to read these things.
I can't wait for Ugly Betty. Since you're not on IM but still have internet access, I say we should have an LJ party. There's enough of us that watch the show: empressearwig, cancanlaughs, lapiccolina, you and I. That's plenty enough for a party, don't you think?

Coming back to old fics is always daunting -- and you know I know how this feels -- but maybe that creative writing class you're taking will help. If you're being forced to constantly write, then maybe picking up the story will be easier, because you'll have already cleared the hurdle of "OMG, it's been so long since I wrote anything!" Whatever it takes to get you writing again.
Heh, noooooo! BTW cannot have been in vain! You have spent too much energy on that for it to be swept aside.
Eee!! An Ugly Betty viewing party sounds divine! But. When does it air by you? Because it won't finish airing by me until 11 PM on the East Coast, and I want to party with the cool kids.
