Norman smiled at Ethan and sipped his coffee. "You learn how to disassociate yourself from what you're seeing. Otherwise, it would be impossible to do the job. The people left behind are the ones who are counting on you to find out what happened to their loved ones."
"You talk about it as if you still do it. Does that mean you miss it?"
"I guess it does. I think I always will."
"I'm sorry," Ethan said and ordered them some more coffee.
