I have now opened this journal up a little, actually enabling comments.
So feel free to stop and say hello and update me on happenings or comment on Star Wars, or poetry or science fiction or whatever.
I am now going to peruse my journal styles, and maybe do a Halloween one for around 3-5 days, and then do something Novemberish, then a wintery one for December.
I'll also do a poetry entry ( there should be around 25 more of the current series...or slightly less) and another A to Z science fiction author's series. I'll continue the science fiction series, probably with an A to Z subject/theme/genre series, such as a for archeology-- some subjects might warrant 2-5 posts.
My days off are Mon-Tues, and sometimes work kinda wears me out mentally, so I skip a few days here. Plus, if I "marathon" on my first day off...heh. I saw the 4th disc of SGA and the first disc of Alcatraz...
I work Halloween, which is fine, because I didn't want to deal with the 3? 20?40? people who might or might not knocking at my door. Oh, and I truly believe that there should be a cut off age, 13, for trick'or'treat. Just sayin'.
Baaack in the day, it was a sort of rite of passage to be "around 12-14" when you stopped trick'or'treating, and an onerous task indeed to hang out with the younger sibling so she/he ( I never had to do this...) could go out begging for candy.
One of my memories from back in the day was the big scare about drugs and razors and such in candies...anything that looked like a pill and/or wasn't wrapped, by the time I was "around 11-12" was tossed away. Rumors of poison and LSD mostly. Razors I think was barely a concern i=until I was over around 14, so I don't think we dealt with that, that much.
And do I remember the huge table spread of candy I used to get.
I think Hershey's Kisses would be my number one choice to hand out now. If I was there to do it and all that.
halloween,
