WTF does that song mean, Bob??

I am listening to Bob Dylan's latest album- Tempest I really like it. Has an odd Americana/Dylany feeling to it.

However, I also saw The Word which I Liked/didn't like. A big shallow of a theme for me and I should have read the "romance" description, although that isn't always the case that a romance is necessarily shallow ...but this one wasn't what I thought it would be.
Ethical behavior takes a pass, and honestly, the writers I know wouldn't react that way to having their work stolen outright. And what I also know is that first drafts just don't behave that well ;)

It just fell flat. Most of the movie had a "as viewed by " the shallow main character, and well. I'll give it 2.50 cuppas. Made me think about what I would have preferred, and how I think it might have actually happened...replace Bradley Cooper with Jonathon Rhys Meyers at his most feckless, replace Dennis Quaid with maybe a deeply cynical fellow like David Duchovny, keep Zoe Saldana and Jeremy Irons. Ratchet up the drama, play up the thin line and edge between the first story, second and background story...and place them in more actual ethical danger.

Anyway! Enough about my slight waste of money.

Bob Dylan's new CD is odd. It gets around a 4 cuppas. And Bob can be odd in my view...anytime he wants.
It's got a song about gambling and trains. Very old timey feel to it.
As he says, "it takes a lot to laugh and a train to cry."

movies, bob dylan
